Following the announcement of the closure of MyDentist High Street practice at the end of November, James spoke to BBC Radio Norfolk about the need for better provision in West Norfolk.
James has been focused on improving dental provision since he was elected and he spoke about this in my first speech in Parliament.
Most recently, James met with NHS England and NHS Improvement’s Director of Primary Care and Public Health and the Head of Commissioning on Wednesday to review dentistry provision and plans for improved access. Prior to Covid the opening of a new practice was planned to commence from 1 April 2021, and follows the opening of the new practice at Marham.
James underlined the real need in West Norfolk and pressed for NHS to proceed with these plans as soon as possible to provide better access to dentists for his constituents.
Anyone who needs urgent or emergency dental care should use the 111 service.
