James Wild MP visited Hillington Square in Lynn to review the final phase of the redevelopment led by the community housing provider Freebridge. This aims to transform the 1960s-era site into 65 modern, affordable homes set to be completed before Christmas.
During his visit, James met Laura Hanford, Head of New Homes and Development at Freebridge, and representatives from Lovells who have led the redevelopment and viewed some of the new homes. Speaking with project leaders, James heard about how designers had overcome challenges faced over the site to protect the setting of the 14th Century All Saints Church. The layout opens up the site and provides a mix of property sizes.
Following his visit, James Wild MP commented:
“It was impressive to see the progress being made at Hillington Square and Freebridge’s commitment to delivering new quality, affordable housing in our community.
“Having a decent place to live is essential and this is just part of Freebridge’s plans to deliver new housing including at Brancaster.”
