The Soap Box Derby returns to Hunstanton on 22 September 2024
From Friday, 22 March 2024, teams are able to enter online to take part in the event organised by the borough council. Places are limited and can be booked at west-norfolk.gov.uk/hunstantonevents.
The course starts high up on Greevegate, has a few twists and turns, karts will hop over a ramp, and end up on Beach Terrace Road overlooking the sea.
There are four categories that can be entered, by driver age:
- Junior 10-13yrs
- Junior 13-15yrs
- Adult 16-49 yrs
- Veteran 50+
Teams can find out more information and register to race from Friday 22 March 2024 at west-norfolk.gov.uk/hunstantonevents. Deadline to enter is 4 September 2024 although there is a limit of 60 entries in total so may close sooner if the maximum number of teams register.
Last year, James was part of the winning team which also included Cllr Cllr Stuart Dark and Charles le Strange Meakin, raising money for RNLI Hunstanton
