Enabling works begin at new temporary QEH helipad site

Work to prepare the area for the new temporary site for the QEH helipad has begun. 

The helipad, which is currently on the top end of the hospital site, will be relocated to farmland to the east of the hospital on the opposite side of the road along the B1145. This temporary relocation will allow for the building of the new multi-storey car park, with the helipad being brought back onto the hospital grounds once the new QEH has been built.

The new helipad is expected to be ready by this summer.
